My Arctic Travels in the Media

This past summer I had the incredible experience of traveling to the community of Igloolik in the Canadian Arctic. The trip had been funded by the Canadian Studies Center at University of Washington, using money from the Department of Education’s Foreign Language-Area Studies (FLAS) Program. I was in Igloolik primarily to learn Inuktitut, but also had some incredible cultural experiences. Soon I hope to post a bit of my own thoughts and description of the trip, but for the time I wanted to share links to two other stories about my trip. These stories can be found on the website of the Canadian Studies Center and in the latest Perspectives Newsletter of the UW College of Arts and Sciences.
